They will spend their days yawning instead of achieving the goals that they have set out for themselves. It is so important to ensure that you are getting a good night’s sleep every night, otherwise, you will start to lose productivity. However, this is not a good way to get a good night’s sleep. Being exposed to the light of our electronics means that our minds are not getting a chance to wind down. We will see the light and automatically start to become ready for the new day, even if it is still the middle of the night. Powering off all the electronics in the bedroom is a good way to tune out from the virtual world. If you use your cell phone as an alarm, it might be a good idea to invest in an alarm clock. This will not distract you as much as a cell phone would have. Give your body a chance to rest and relax before you drift off to sleep. You will wake up more energized than if you had been looking at your phone during the night.
Get a Mattress Protector
Insomnia can sometimes be caused by allergies that flare up during the night. Allergens such as dust mites, pet dander, and dead skin can build up in your mattress, and cause you to sneeze all night. This can be very annoying, especially if you try your best to keep your mattress clean. A solution to this would be to add a protector on your mattress. This will encase the mattress, and prevent allergens from bothering you while you sleep. Mattress protectors also prevent bedbugs from crawling up, so that is an added bonus! They are very affordable and can be used in combination with an expensive mattress. This way, you will get the good quality mattress as well as a way to protect it and keep it clean.
Make a Regular Sleep Schedule
Your body will respond well to routine. Try to go to bed at the same time every night, and wake up at the same time every morning. The optimal time for sleeping is approximately 10 pm. Getting a full eight hours of sleep would mean that the optimal time for waking up is at 6 am. Try to stick to these guidelines as much as possible. Your body will get used to the change, and you will not feel the effects of a lack of sleep. Avoid sleeping in too much on the weekends, as this will disrupt the careful routine that you have been building up.
